Welcome to Greenhaugh Primary School
"A Small School With A Big Heart"
Welcome to Greenhaugh Primary School’s website.
We are delighted to have been able to extend our age range to Year 6 with effect from September 2019 and are looking forward to working with parents, the community and other schools to provide a first class curriculum supported by an extensive curriculum extension programme.
We already have a consistent track record of providing an excellent educational experience for our children, having achieved Good Ofsted Inspection reports. In addition to this, we hold awards for the high quality music and PE that we offer, and are currently working towards the Discover Arts Award in conjunction with the Queen’s Hall, Hexham.
In addition to the children’s academic achievements, we strongly value the contribution that we can all make as a school and community towards giving them the knowledge and skills needed to equip them for the next stages of their lives as they move into secondary education and beyond. This is provided through our PSHE curriculum; through opportunities to develop resilience, co-operation and problem-solving skills in activities such as Wild About Adventure Days each term and Outdoor Learning each week; close partnership working with other schools to develop the children’s social skills and the extensive programme of curriculum enrichment visits and visitors and extra-curricular activities, such as after-school clubs and residential visits.
If you require a paper copy of any of the information on our school website, please contact us using the contact information below. This will be provided free of charge
