The Land of Joy, Buddhist Retreat Centre

Class 1 plus a Year 3 addition visited The Land of Joy, Buddhist Retreat Centre 14/11/19. Being our next door neighbours, we wanted to meet, greet and understand aspects of Buddhism to help develop our understanding of important aspects of our nearest, and consequently, wider community. We were warmly welcomed, learned more about the teachings and philosophy of Buddha, and shared a chanting and meditating experience. We had such a lovely time, we did not want to leave, but as we know we are able to return at any time to see our friends, could walk back to school singing and full of happiness. We are already looking forward to our invitation to help plant trees at the Centre in March, and will soon put our lovely garden area leant to us within the walled garden, to bed for the winter.
Thank you Jenni and friends.
