All children participate in music, dance and drama lessons.
We have a freelance music teacher for one afternoon per week, who delivers music and dance to each class.
Class 2 benefit from whole class instument tuition for 15 weeks per academic year and have benefited from learning a wide variation of instruments including pocket trumpets, penny whistles, ukulele, djembe drums.
Children are given the opportunity to sing, use a variety of percussion instruments, compose their own music and listen to works by various composers. Drama is used across the curriculum in addition to the annual school production and various concerts put on by the children. We feel these are important in developing self-confidence and self esteem and are therefore an important aspect of school life.
